Just in time for Black History Month, the United States Postal Service has unveiled the Gwen Ifil Heritage Stamp. Ifil was a celebrated journalist who passed away in 2016. Ifil was a trailblazer and held positions in both print and broadcast journalism. She also moderated the 2004 and 2008 political debates. Ifil also wrote the best selling book The Breakthrough: Politics and Race in the Age of Obama.

Ifil’s stamp was released on January 30. The stamp is number 43 in the Black Heritage Stamp Collection and is now available for purchase.
