One of America’s notary journalists and television newscaster, Gwen Ifill passed away at the age of 61. She was the moderator and managing editor of “Washington Week” and co-anchor and managing editor of the “PBS NewsHour.” Gwen’s commitment to journalism, broadcasting, and creating conversation around U.S. politics and policies led her to making history as apart of an all-female anchor team to moderate a major presidential debate. In addition, she is a best-selling author of “The Breakthrough: Politics and Race in the Age of Obama.” We here at WHUR-WORLD would like to extend our condolences to Ifill’s family and friends as we remember the resilient and industrious spirit of Gwen Ifill.
