Actress Naya Rivera has been pronounced dead. The Ventura County Sheriff’s Office said during a press conference Monday that the actress’ body was found in Lake Piru. The 33-year old actress and mother was last seen boating with her 4-year old son, Josey. Her son was found in a boat with his life jacket after boating officials searched for the two after their boat rental time has passed.

Rivera’s body was found after a six day search. Reports say there were no signs of foul play or suicide. Sadly, Rivera’s death comes on the seven year anniversary of the death of her “Glee” co-star, Corey Monteith.

Rivera began her acting career in 1991 at just 4-years old, with her role on the sitcom “The Royal Family.” Her other acting credits include “Family Matters,” “Smart Guy,” The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air,” and “Girlfriends.” Her most notable role was playing cheerleader Santana Lopez on the hit series “Glee.” The role earned her several accolades including a Screen Actors Guild Award and two Alma Awards.

We continue to keep Naya’s loved ones in our thoughts.
