Chuck Brown, affectionately known as the “Godfather of Go-Go” has passed away at the age of 75. Go-Go is a sub-genre of funk music that was developed in the mid- and late 1970s in and around Washington, D.C. area . While its musical classification and origins are debated, Brown is regarded as the fundamental force behind the creation of Go-Go music.
