Blues on Blues is a music intensive 4 hour program that highlights the best of the blues, its heritage, and its artists. This programs serves as a tapestry for the Blues as on-air personality Ed Williams, and producer Jessica Sturgis, take you on a ride through the different genres of music that have been heavily influenced by the Blues. This program is both entertaining and educational as Ed Williams leads the listeners through the musical history of the Blues. Blues on Blues explores the Blues and Rhythm and Blues from New Orleans to Chicago, from the Jook joints to the stage in Paris. Artists from the likes of Ray Charles, Al Green, James Brown, B.B. King, Bessie Smith, Etta James, Big Maybelle, Leroy Carr, Otis Redding, Sam Cooke, Son House, and Taj Muhal serenade the air-waves every Saturday from.
